Around the World 『英語遊世界』

Around the World is a cultural enrichment English course where children are taught about different countries and cultures around the world through guided role-play, games, stories and crafts. Students can improve their communication skills and enhance their English vocabulary by exploring the interesting customs, clothing, food, and places of these countries. This is an extremely enjoyable and fulfilling course, designed to boost children's English literacy and to open their eyes to the wonderful heritage of various countries.

Cambridge Young Learners English Pre-Starters Workshop 劍橋小學英語預備班

This workshop is set up specially for kindergarten students in K2 and K3 learning English as a foreign language. In the workshop, foundation-level vocabulary is taught with reference to an interesting pictorial workbook which has been designed based on the Cambridge YLE Test (Starters Level).

This training with book is supplemented by guidance from our experienced native English-speaking teachers. This preparatory course readies students for the more advanced Cambridge Starters course. Regardless of whether students intend to take the Cambridge YLE Test, this course builds a solid foundation for them on which to undertake further studies in English.

Cambridge Young Learners English Workshop (Starters / Movers / Flyers Level) 劍橋小學英語班

Designed for young primary students of P1 to P6 who are learning English as a foreign language, this program aims to boost their English ability by intensely training them in vocabulary, sentence structure, and by face-to-face interaction with a native English teacher.

The purpose is to prepare these students for the Cambridge Young Learners' English Test (YLE). They are ably helped by our native English teachers and the specially designed workbook. The course is designed to equip and prepare students for the test, be it at the Starters, Movers, or Flyers Level.

Even if they do not take the Cambridge test, they will have benefited from the course and improved to a great extent their skills and confidence in using English.

The Cambridge YLE test is authorised by the University of Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages (Cambridge ESOL) Education Division. The results of this voluntary test precisely reflect the English competence of the candidates and give parents a good idea of what plans to make for their children's further studies.

English Playgroup 幼兒英語遊戲班

Our English Playgroup is a unique program tailored especially for pre-schoolers aged from 1½ years to 3. Children participating in this playgroup get involved in creative learning activities such as singing, games, craft making, coloring, and story telling. Through these activities, they learn how to communicate and associate with other children more effectively and harmoniously. The result is that they have more confidence and motivation to use English as a medium of communication.

English Smartkids 活動興趣英語班

English Smartkids is a fun and innovative program in which young children learn English in an active, relaxed, and happy environment. Specially designed to help children build up their confidence, the program consists of different methods to help them speak and communicate more freely and creatively.

The ways used include listening and speaking activities to enrich vocabulary. Children are introduced to activities such as story telling, singing, activity worksheets and games. General communication skills are enhanced through discussion of a weekly topic.

The program provides a great opportunity for children to practice their daily, conversational English and nurture their social skills.

English Smartkids Plus 活動興趣英語加強班

English Smartkids Plus is a refined English learning course modeled on English Smartkids. The program provides children with a variety of theme-centred activities to stimulate their intellects. Children engage in tasks such as discussions and doing short worksheets. An additional feature is 'Enrichment Time' where the students involve themselves in; art and craft, song and movement, science, culture and math, activities which are rotated on a weekly basis.

English Smartkids Writing Group 活動興趣英語寫作班

English Smartkids Writing Group is an innovative, theme-oriented, educational program modeled on English Smartkids. Children fine-tune their conversation and writing skills and hold weekly themed discussions in which writing tasks including creative short pieces are emphasized, with constant guidance from our native English speaking teachers.

Students will, like in English Smartkids, have the opportunity to interact with our teachers in oral conversation, singing, story telling and games.

Fun Fun Phonics (圖像拼音Fun Fun Fun)

Fun Fun Phonics is an elementary phonics program in which students work through simple pictorial worksheet exercises to build vocabulary and phonetic awareness. They are introduced to English words and their phonetic components, without heavy emphasis on rules and writing. Instead, the children develop their phonetic awareness naturally by drawing connections between words and sounds.

The course is divided into 6 phases of 4 lessons each. The basic consonant sounds are taught, along with basic digraphs and extended vowel sounds. The course is non-cumulative, enabling the student to start at the beginning of any phase.

Jolly Phonics Introductory Course (Jolly Phonic 基礎英語拼音班)

The Jolly Phonics Introductory Course is a multi-sensory, interactive phonics course designed specifically for young children attending K1 and K2. The course aims to teach the basic 26 alphabet sounds used in English. Children learn how to form and recognize the sounds through listening and looking at the letters in the alphabet. By practicing acting out the associated sound and handwriting, children start to build a phonetic awareness, which is crucial to their ability to read and write in English.

Jolly Phonics (Jolly Phonics 英語拼音班)

Jolly Phonics is a phonics program particularly tailor-made for young children from K2 to P3. This multi-sensory program takes children step by step through an English-learning process that is fun and rewarding. Children will learn the 42 phonetic sounds of the English language as well as the irregularly spelled words, Tricky Words.

The program also walks the children through segmenting as well as blending word-formations, which are essential for developing reading and writing skills. Practiced with interesting reading and writing exercises in a fun and relaxing atmosphere, these skills sharpen the children's intellectual appetites and prepare them to advance to a higher level of English proficiency later.

Exercises in practicing and applying these sounds are in the new color editions of Jolly Phonics pupil books 1 through 3. Together with its accompanying books in the series, Jolly Songs and Jolly Readers, it provides a comprehensive rounding course that is interactive, fun and rewarding at the same time.

Cute Music Maker 小小英語音樂人 (Summer Only)

Designed for children with a penchant for music, Cute Music Makers is a fun and engaging workshop through which these budding musicians get involved in creating music using everyday household materials as their instruments.

Children learn to not only make sounds with these instruments but also use these with accompaniment for a variety of simple English songs that can be uniquely played with the instruments.

In this process, students exercise their resourcefulness and creativity while honing their sense of musical sound and widening their English vocabularies. This workshop is a great opportunity for children to inspire themselves through instrumental playing and to help them sharpen their musical sense and improve their English.

English Oral Workshop 英語會話工作坊 (Summer Only)

This is a foundational English course tailored for young students who wish to speak better English and practice their day-to-day conversation. The program's emphasis is on familiarising students with some common phrases that are useful when they converse in English.

The workshop helps students on; greeting people, introducing themselves and speaking in restaurant, shopping and classroom situations or talk about themselves. Through drills in role playing, sentences construction, listening and repetition drills, students are able to hone their skills in conversation.

By the end of the six-lesson course, students are expected to be comfortable with understanding what they are told and with expressing themselves in English in a real-life situation.

English Storytelling and Role-Play 故事扮嘢學英語 (Summer Only)

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore the English language through English fairy tales and stories. Through group role-play and the use of props, children exercise their imagination to develop their characterization, communication and improvisation skills. This fun and interactive class provides a creative environment for children to involve themselves in theatrical drama at the most basic level.

Good Manners Are for Life 小生有禮 (Summer Only)

It may be hard to believe this -- having good manners makes our lives easier and boosts our confidence. Good manners help us make friends and make us more popular. A well-mannered child is appreciated and praised by the teachers and seniors. Good manners also ease discomfort that arises from awkward and embarrassing situations. They are always appreciated and needed!

This course is taught by native English speakers who teach the foundations of common etiquette as practiced in the West. Children learn manners appropriate for most, if not all, of the conceivable situations. This program is an interactive exercise in which manners are taught through games, crafts, as well as role play based on verbal and written instructions. Children learn these social rules in a relaxed yet fun environment.

Like most things learned, these newly acquired skills must be practiced regularly before they can be incorporated into their patterns of speech and behavior. In any case, the fruit of this training creates a very positive impact on their own well-being and that of others around them.

Little English Explorers 英語小天地 (Summer Only)

Little English Explorers is a six-day themed English program specially designed for young children. The lessons provide opportunities for children to engage in activities they love. Music and movement, art and science, together with stories and games, not only stimulate young minds but also build healthy bodies. They enable children to gain important scholastic and social skills as well.

By participating in these fun and interactive activities, children's language skills can sharpen in this accelerated learning environment.

Little Scientist 小小科學家 (Summer Only)

Little Scientist is an innovative English-learning program in which young children learn English through fun, exciting, but simple science activities. It is specifically designed to stimulate children's minds as they learn English through interaction and cooperation and in an environment where they feel they can develop their creativity at ease.

In this program, we use interesting hands-on "experiments" to capture and sustain the children's attention. They are encouraged to respond in simple English with information on the why, how, and what of the situation.

This is an effective and efficient way to develop children's thinking and enhance their social skills through small-group learning.

Super Chef 英語小廚師 (Summer Only)

This is a must class for those who love food and want to learn English at the same time. In addition to teaching culinary skills and showing how to work with the necessary ingredients and recipes, this stoveless cooking class teaches children not only kitchen skills, but relevant vocabulary, etiquette and culture. A surely fun way to learn English!
